WOW WOW WOW! What else can I say about this place? Just WOW again. I have travelled extently all over the world, including luxury resorts in the Maldives, but African Flair and Alet tops all of them.

This is a hotel, with large outside space, a big pool, beautiful interior, very African/Bali vibes, just gorgeous!!! Then you have your room, or it is actually a luxurious cabin, with a big 4 poster bed, in and outside shower, nice gas fire place just beside the tub. And then you have to upstairs outside bed where you have the most amazing view of all the million of stars, and the hearing of the lion roars, quite amazing. You actually wont believe it before you are there. The very special thing is that you got ALL of this just for your self, no other guests, just you alone, or your partner/friend.

And Alet, what can I say about Alet? The most adorable, lovely and friendly person I have ever met. She is there for you 24/7, you can WhatsApp her anytime, and she answers as well in minutes, usually seconds. She gave me a lovely bottle of Vrede & Lust Malbec, just so I could try her favourite red ?? She will do everything yours ask about, from booking in Hotel massages, and their spa room is quite stunning, trips, restaurants and so on. She is also a very good cook, you will have the most amazing plated breakfast when ever you want.

We had the most amazing stay at African Flair Luxury Boutique Lodge. It's one of those places that just gets everything right, cozy yet luxurious, peaceful yet full of character.

A special mention to Alet, the owner, who truly goes above and beyond for her guests. Even before our arrival, she was incredibly patient and helpful in coordinating tours and sharing detailed information. During our stay, she personally handled airport transfers, prepared daily breakfasts, and made sure we were always well taken care of.

You can really feel her heart in this place, the effort she's put into decorating the lodge, the little details, the atmosphere... it carries her soul. It felt less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into a beautiful home.

We also loved how exclusive it is, hosting only a couple each night, which made the entire experience feel even more intimate and special.

Honestly didn't want to leave, and would come back in a heartbeat.

Having visited South Africa many times before, on this trip we chose to spend 3 nights at African Flair on our arrival from the UK before transferring to Sabi Sands for 4 nights and can definitely recommend it to others.

Conveniently situated in Hoedspruit, African Flair is a very special, exclusive boutique lodge set in beautiful surroundings where lifetime memories have been made.

Following a very warm welcome from Alet, who I felt I knew before arriving due to her responsiveness to the many queries I had from booking 6 months previously, it was evident that she was committed to ensuring we had the best experience possible.

Even after we had checked out, Alet accompanied us to the local airstrip and waited with us to ensure our transfer arrived and we departed safely.

Our suite was just gorgeous and the good weather allowed us to sleep in the stargazer bed which was wonderful.

Excellent breakfasts were provided and a wide selection of quality wines available.

We also had a great meal from a local restaurant brought to the lodge with our table set with candles and flowers by the pool which was lovely.

If you are reading this, I guess you are looking at the many different options in the area, so yes – read all the reviews, look at all the pictures but these can't capture the African Flair experience (they have won awards for a reason)!

We would return in a heartbeat.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. We felt safe, relaxed and at home. The pictures do not do it justice, and I am so glad I booked it. It is so stylish and luxurious, and the owner certainly has impeccable taste.

My husband was hesitant at the thought of a safari and was very nervous about the safety aspect of it all. However, he loved every minute of it, slept like a baby, and asked me why I did not book the place for longer!

The staff were amazing and friendly, and they seemed to know what we wanted and needed, even before we did. We loved the fact that we would return and everything was perfectly in place for our arrival.

The cleanliness was 5*. I am a bit OCD, but I could not find one thing wrong. The cleaning staff took care of everything and I never had to question anything.

On top of that, the food was amazing, the picnic to go was divine, and the plethora of wines and drinks were superb. The kitchen employee certainly knew what they were doing.

I think this is the longest review I have ever written, but it is wholeheartedly deserved. I love this place, and I am sad I did not book it for longer.

This is by far the best 5-star experience we have had. The host is very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure we had an exceptional stay.

I loved everything about the property. It offers the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity, surrounded by nature. Seeing bucks right outside the villa window was also quite a treat.

Wow!! You must book this absolutely unique location at least once in your life!

There wasn't just one thing that I liked the most, everything was great!

From the moment we walked in, it was wow! It turned out that everything was for ourselves. The spaces, indoor and outdoor seating, the bar, the swimming pool, and a complete lodge with a shower and bed inside, as well as a shower and bed outside. Amazing!

The service was exceptional. Alet is truly a sweetheart! Once you step into the lodge, you won't want to go outside, and you don't have to. You can enjoy delicious in-house book massages (do it!), and in the evening I would definitely order dinner at home. Alet sets the table beautifully, the candles are lit, and then you are happily together again.

After two days of safari, we felt like recharging our batteries, and this was more than perfect! In between, we took the car to drive through the park in Hoedspruit ourselves and then quickly returned to enjoy the lodge.

It's really so amazing! It can't be explained in a few words. The coffees, breakfasts, the wines she has—everything is top top top!

If you think you've seen it all in life, then come here for pure pampering and luxury at a very affordable price.

This was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in!”

First of all: I never actually write reviews, but I simply have to here because the entire holiday left my girlfriend and me speechless – in a positive way.

The accommodation is simply magical and beautiful – even more beautiful than you could imagine from the pictures. The entire property is designed with so much love and attention to detail; it feels like being in another world. You won't find accommodation like this anywhere else!

What is particularly extraordinary is that the entire property truly "belongs" only to the two people during their stay – absolute privacy is guaranteed. And although you almost never see any staff, the property is always spotlessly clean!

The price-performance ratio is absolutely top-notch. We even had a giraffe visit us by the pool.

But what really made our stay special was our hostess, Alet, who clearly loves her job. It started even before our arrival: my girlfriend and I were there for her 30th birthday, and the whole stay was a surprise for my girlfriend. Alet took care of all activities, excursions and bookings, and if something didn't work out due to the weather, she immediately provided a replacement and contributed many of her own ideas and suggestions.

The excursions were superbly organised from start to finish, thanks primarily to Alet. Breakfast in the morning was simply amazing! The coffee and breakfast were different every day and prepared with so much attention to detail.

Alet practically anticipates your every wish and makes even the impossible possible. For our full-day trip to Kruger National Park, we even received a huge picnic basket with everything one could wish for.

All in all: a special accommodation with a truly special hostess. Here you can experience pure luxury for an extremely low price.

We stayed three nights at African Flair Boutique, and what can I say… three days in a heavenly place!

The accommodation is tastefully decorated, creating a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent, hearty, and beautifully presented every morning.

The room is spacious, comfortable, and offers the unique opportunity—weather permitting—to sleep outside while listening to the sounds of the African bush. A truly unforgettable experience.

All of this is complemented by a very friendly, attentive, and professional hostess who provided us with excellent recommendations for activities in the area, including a Blyde Canyon tour, safaris, and wonderful nearby restaurants.

We stayed here for two nights before heading a little further into Kruger National Park. Every facet of this luxury boutique hotel is polished and nothing is overlooked. The staff keep the grounds beautifully manicured, making every photo Instagram-worthy.

This is the standard for a luxury couples retreat, perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary, or any special occasion where privacy, romance, and relaxation are desired. I still can't believe we had this entire hotel to ourselves!

The hostess, Alette, is simply fabulous and goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is truly memorable.

We enjoyed an afternoon safari at a nearby reserve immediately after arriving and spent the second day driving the Panorama Route, visiting the Potholes, Lisbon Falls, Blyde Canyon, and many other picture-perfect locations we never knew existed.

The food was outstanding. Although I didn't take a photo of dinner, we enjoyed perfectly cooked fillet mignon, a fried Camembert cheese wheel, and carrot cake for dessert.

Breakfast before our departure was delicious and beautifully prepared. The main house also offers a huge selection of wines, together with an excellent assortment of spirits, beers, and ciders.

If you're considering a couples' trip to Hoedspruit to visit Kruger National Park, this is the place for you.
